Real-life role models surprise STEM girls at Northpark Center

We are grateful for inspired young women in STEM! Warisha attended our AccelerateHER physics camp last summer. Following her STEM camp experience, she was invited to participate in the first mentoring class for Design Connect Create. Goal-setting with her mentor’s guidance gave Warisha the confidence to succeed academically and wisdom to hone her leadership skills.

Now, Warisha wants to empower other girls to realize the power of STEM and see it in a positive light. During the 2021 school year she launched the Lead-Her Opportunities Outreach Program (LOOP). Recently, Warisha and her club sponsor organized an event at NorthPark Center for girls to visit the statues of the IF/THEN Ambassadors. Much to the girls’ surprise, two of the Ambassadors were on hand to meet them in person.

We are grateful to LOOP as they design new ways to introduce STEM to more girls, connect girls to real-world applications and empower girls to create their futures. Way to go Warisha and team!
